Just leaving a comment in regard to this afternoons presentation by Janet Wong. Very enjoyable! What an inspiration. Also, nice to meet you, Marilyn. Have heard lots about you from Lindsay and Lacey. Looking forward to your presentation tomorrow.

I was very impressed with your book talk today at Hotel Lusso. What a great turn out of people. I can see why Lindsay and Lacey are so excited over your classes. I enjoyed hearing about the 100+ books and am so excited to share some of those titles with the teachers that I work with in the Title 1 Reading Center.

Thanks for mentioning Heart of a Shepherd here. I’ll be presenting a panel and a round table session at NCTE in the fall. I hope to see you there!

Just leaving a comment to let you know I enjoyed hearing Janet Wong speak about how she became an author. I especially liked when she shared how she comes up with her story lines and how they relate to her family and life.

Lindsay and Sandy: Thank you very much for your kind words!

Marilyn: I’m so grateful that you’ve included ME AND ROLLY MALOO on your list, in such fine company. As you know, it’s my first book “in sentences”–so I am especially thrilled to see it in the Fiction category. I’m working on a sequel now, ME AND JENNA LEE (written in the voice of Jenna’s friend Shorn L., the hero of the first book). I’m hoping that ROLLY MALOO does well enough to justify a series!
